GORAN BOJČEVSKI

Goran Bojčevski holds a M.A. in clarinet, which he finished with distinction at the University of Mozarteum, Salzburg, in 2013. He studied with Prof. Alois Brandhofer, a long-time principal clarinetist of the Vienna and Berlin Philcharmonic Orchestra.

The last 15 years he has been performing on stages around Europe. He has been involved in different projects over the years, at first he started performing with the Slovenian group Terrafolk on world tours; he later developed his own style in music, Balkan Nuevo, and has been promoting it ever since – Goran Bojčevski trio, Goran Bojčevski quartet, Goran Bojčevski classical quintet …

His greatest achievements so far: soloist of the RTV Symphony Orchestra (handover of the Slovenian presidency to France, Paris), soloist of the Bläserphilharmonie Salzburg, concert at the opening of the European Jazz Conference, with Bojan Z. on piano in 2017, in 2018 he had a concert at the most prominent Gallus Hall in Slovenia, Cankarjev dom with his music. In summer 2018 he sold out all the concerts on festivals, among others Festival Ljubljana, Ohridsko leto and Theater am Spittelberg, Vienna.

Bojčevski is also a composer, he composed his opus is impresive. He composed for the clarinet, string and symphony orchestras. Two of them are a part of the curriculum at Mozarteum. He composed and recorded The Portraits of Balkan with the Slovenian Symphony Orchestra. He continuously composes for commercials, documentaries. He wrote the music for two ballets, Helium and Dervish and Death, which was nominated as the best performance in Croatia in 2017. In March 2019 the ballet was premiered in Zagreb, at the famous soldout Lisinski Hall.

Bojčevski was an invited compositor by Bläserphilharmonie Salzburg in 2017, his piece was conducted by Maestro Glenn Price, who took it to USA and was premiered in 2017.

Critics proclaims Bojčevski to be one of the most versatile clarinet players in the world.
